Monthly Craft Book Catch Up ~ January

    Impressive!

I love craft books!  It seems like everytime I turn around there is a new one coming out.  The inspiration and ideas are always fabulous but they sit next to my bed for me to look through instead of in the craft room as a book to go to and find a project to make.

I've decided to try something new for 2010.  It'll be my New Year's Resolution!  At least the fun one.

I'm going to pick a different craft book from my library each month and make a project from it ~ start to finish (not necessarily by the end of the month if it's a longer project) ~  By the end of the year I will have 12 projects from 12 different craft books!

I'm also hoping that this will get me out of my sewing comfort zone and challenge me to try new sewing projects and not just quilts.

My first book is going to be One Yard Wonders by Rebecca Yaker and Patricia Hoskins.  I'm excited for this to be January's book because it has so many fabulous projects.

I'm toasting to new craft and sewing adventures in 2010!

If you would like to play along for any month then add your information on Mr. Linky and I'd love to see what book and project you have picked!

What a great idea! I can't wait to see everything you make. I think my challenges this year are going to be a 365 photo (of anything - just one a day) and a 52 week of me (in some aspect). I looked at this book at the bookstore the other day and was quite impressed with it. I might have to actually buy a craft book. :)
