    October Giveaway Ends 10/18!

So it would help to actually publish the October Giveaway! Ha...I was having all kinds of fun at the pumpkin patch assuming my October Giveaway post was up on Saturday. Well better late than never, especially when candy corn is involved!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I sure do love candy corn, it has to be Brach's. If I'm going to eat it, it must be the best. Just like chocolate....only Fran's Chocolates will do. Even before President Obama said it was his favorite, my friends and I were planning trips to Seattle just for the chocolate. Of course mail delivery works also, but fresh from the shop is the best! The gray salt caramels are delicious!

So tell me what your favorite sweet indulgence is and I'll pick a winner for the October Giveaway on Sunday the 18th.

And of course I have to show a pumpkin patch picture!

I would love to win your give away so I say it has to be Chocolate, the best are french truffles here in Mexico they only sell them near christmas time. I don“t have to tell you how many boxes I buy so they last.

Coffee and chocolate make pretty great stuff, a shop in Brisbane Queensland. What a great idea for a giveaway, even talking about chocolate is yum :)

I would love to wander around a pumpkin patch. We really don't have those here.

I'm a jelly bean kind of girl. Only the name brand will do.

I'm not a fan of chocolate although I live 45 minutes outside of Seattle so if you need a Fran's delivery, let me know. My favorite sweet treat is apple crisp with vanilla bean ice cream. It's sweet, warm, cold, and the perfect introduction into fall. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

I love sweets of all kinds, but if I could have anything sweet I wanted, it would be to still have my Nanny here and have her fix me some chocolate biscuits. When I was little, we didn't have extra money for candy and such. For a sweet treat for us, Nanny would take the left over biscuits from breakfast (she made homemade biscuits and all the other wonderful breakfast foods for Papa before the sun came up each morning), split them in half and put butter, sugar and cocoa on each side. then she would broil them until everything was melted together perfectly. What a wonderful treat when we got off the school bus!

Oh this would be an exciting package to win just for the candy alone!

Seafoam is my favorite. Covered in DARK chocolate, of course.

Hands down my favorite candy is candy corn. I eat so much of it this time of year that I make myself sick on it so I don't even want to see it until the following year. :) I do the same thing with candy hearts at Valentines Day. Sometimes I buy a ton of bags and stash them away to eat for a few months. I don't usually miss them by the time they run out. :)

My favourite indulgence is tea with chocolate.

at the moment, in the run up to christmas, we can buy german stollenbread. it is a delicious sort of cakebread and I particularly like the variety that has a filling with poppyseeds... topped with real butter it is a real diet killer (eat a few slices and you know what I mean!! instant weight gain!) but it is only once a year... and it is yummilicious with real butter...mmmm.... best go and make a slice....

I like snickers bars! crazy I know with all the delicious stuff out there, but I guess i just like to keep it simple. Thanks for a chance!

Okay, it's a toss up between Fran's grey salt caramels and Theo Chocolate's Hazlenut Crunch bar, both from Seattle. Must be the water...

    October 15, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterdoodlebugfinery

My favourite candy is anything hardboiled - those old fashioned kinds of sweets like pear drops, kola cubes, pineapple chunks, cough candy (do you even get those over there? Have you any idea what I'm talking about?!). I have no idea what candy corn is like - never seen it, never tasted it, but everyone says it's good so I'm in with my fingers crossed hoping to win!!!

I love ice cream, any kind, and for the candies, I think that the maple sirup ones are my favorite! Have a nice day! :)
